Comme vous le savez, Médecins du Monde tiendra ce weekend, du vendredi 3 au dimanche 5 novembre au Ground Control (Paris 12ème), la 1ère édition de son nouveau rendez-vous créatif et militant : Le Festival des Gros Maux ! Dans ce contexte terrible pour nos équipes et les populations civiles, il nous paraît en effet d’autant plus crucial de nous réunir avec le grand public et les personnes concernées, pour échanger et insuffler un nouveau souffle militant en France et au-delà. Aussi, n’hésitez pas à en parler autant que possible autour de vous. Et si vous êtes à Paris ce weekend, nous espérons que vous pourrez vous joindre à vous.

La Journée mondiale de la santé mentale, célébrée chaque 10 octobre en lien avec l'Organisation Mondiale de la Santé (OMS), est l’occasion de sensibiliser l’opinion publique aux questions et aux énergies à rassembler en faveur de cette composante essentielle de la santé. Paloma Vega et David Tabbara, référente et référent Sante Mentale et Psycho Sociale (SMPPS) proposent de partager l'expérience d'actrices et d'acteurs terrain MdM sur cinq continents. 
World Mental Health Day, celebrated every 10 October in association with the World Health Organisation (WHO), is an opportunity to raise public awareness of the issues and the energies that need to be brought together in support of this essential component of health. Paloma Vega and David Tabbara, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) advisors, propose to share the experience of MdM actors in the field on five continents.

Comme vous le savez nous avons rendez-vous du 3 au 5 novembre au Ground Control (Paris 12ème) pour la première édition du Festival des Gros Maux. À cette occasion, nous avons lancé un concours d'écriture et lors de ce festival, les textes primés seront lus publiquement. Nous nous sommes dit que, d'ici là, ce serait intéressant de partager ensemble les œuvres littéraires qui ont pu susciter notre engagement, nous motiver et nous inspirer dans notre posture de citoyenne et de citoyen.

For over 6 years, I have been actively working with Médecins du Monde (MdM). Within this period, I have worked in several capacities, as both field staff ensuring direct implementation and service delivery and at coordination level managing teams. It was so interesting working closely with the beneficiaries who had experienced various levels of psychological distress. Understanding their plights and providing practical support, as well as observing the healing process that brought much joy and satisfaction in their lives, has been fulfilling.

Le concours créatif et citoyen Mlle Pitch Awards & Co offre l’opportunité à toutes celles et ceux qui le désirent d’imaginer et proposer une campagne publicitaire au service d’une grande cause, en lien avec des équipes concrètement engagées et actives.
Après la Fondation Abbé Pierre et la Croix-Rouge française, MdM a été retenue pour l’édition 2023.
Les deux campagnes sélectionnées et présentées ici seront diffusées pendant un an.

After the Abbé Pierre Foundation and la Croix-Rouge française, MdM has been selected for the 2023 edition.
